still life from provence

From Julian: These are the same roses I painted a couple of days ago. I was so surprised to see them still hanging on to their form the next day albeit in their slightly delicate, decaying state— all pale and Miss Haversham like—I had to paint them. So that's where I've been for two days. I've also finished a Strawberry painting that I started in May, which was interrupted by the building works, you can see it here.
