papel picado
Papel picado, or perforated paper, is the Mexican art of papercutting tissue into elaborate designs. Traditionally, the designs draw inspiration from birds, florals and skeletons, especially as it gets closer to Dia de los Muertos. These dresses by Brazilian designer Ronaldo Fraga take the papercuts one step further, turning them in to wearable art.
