This week, the holidays officially begin at the Culver City nursery, and the rambling emporium is hosting an open house to prove it. The annual holiday preview running Nov. 5 to 7 is the kind of over-the-top event that may sound annoying to some, but here it's not. Perhaps that's because the options are so darn tasteful.
The event will include dessert, coffee, tea, cider, Christmas carols and, if Rolling Greens is kind, no Chipmunks tunes.
The early arrival of the season makes sense, for who has money for gifts this year? With the holiday still weeks away, there's still time to pick up an ornament or two, or perhaps materials and inspiration for DIY presents, if that's your thing.
